A Visionary in Fashion with a Purpose

Founded in Sri Lanka and launched at Colombo Fashion Week in 2013. Amilani Perera is an exotic luxury fashion brand that has since expanded internationally. A member of Australian Fashion Council and registered in Australia in 2025, the brand specializes in ready-to-wear collections, driven by a dual mission: delivering unique, high-quality garments while giving back to society. Amilani Perera has become a powerful advocate for women suffering from violence, an issue that deeply resonates with founder Amilani Perera. Through a partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the brand actively works to empower and uplift women who have faced abuse in Sri Lanka. This partnership involves engaging survivors of violence in the product development process, as well as offering mentoring programs designed to enhance their skills in fashion design.
Renowned for its bespoke, designer womenswear, Amilani Perera has consistently showcased at Colombo Fashion Week since 2013. In 2024, the brand furthered its international reach by partnering with the United Nations Asia Pacific to present at the Ultra Luxe Fashion Show in Singapore.
Amilani Perera was also the only Sri Lankan brand featured at Asian Designer Week 2016 in New Delhi, India, and showcased its Spring/Summer 2017 collection at the USA-Sri Lanka Fashion Week in New York. Additionally, Amilani Perera serves as the official designer for the Airport & Aviation Services of Sri Lanka, further cementing her influence in the fashion industry.
A graduate of Lasalle College of the Arts in Singapore, Amilani has extensive experience in the global fashion and garment industry. She has worked as a designer with prominent global manufacturers such as MAS Holdings for the amanté lingerie brand, and as a design consultant for Arvind Lifestyle Brands in Bangalore, India.

2025- Become member of Australian fashion council.

 

2024- In partnership with United Nations Asia Pacific launched BODYRIGHT 2.0 collection at UltraLuxe show in Singapore.

 

2023- launch of Amilani Perera Flagship store at Colombo 05, Sri Lanka, and launch of the Body Right collection in partnership with United Nations Population Fund at Colombo Fashion Week.

 

Amilani Perera in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Sri Lanka presented the collection HEAL at the Colombo Fashion Week 2022.

 

Started collaborating with 3.T.H.R.E.E.A retailer from Tokyo, Japan & in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund in Sri Lanka launched the collection #WITH_HER at Colombo Fashion Week

 

Singed a partnership with the United Nations Population Fund in Sri Lanka & launched the collection UNBREAKABLE [AP X UNFPA] at Colombo Fashion Week & started engaging survivors of violence in product development and conducting mentoring programs to enhance their fashion and design skills.
